Sabir Ali, is a former athlete of India, who has won a silver medal in javelin throw in the first SAF games held in Kathmandu in the year1984. After acknowledging the outstanding performance of Sabir Ali, Indian Government in the year 1981, conferred him the highest prestigeious sports award, the Arjuna award. He originally hails from Maharashtra state.
