Sthirasana also called the `fixed-pose` is a type of yoga asana performed for various health benefits. This asana is a variation of Sukhasana. It is called sthirasana because this asana indicates the steadiness of prana.
Practice of Sthirasana
Sthirasana is practised by assuming the cross-legged position. Then after interlacing the fingers, with palm facing upwards, the arms are set to rest in the middle of the lap or just at the point where the legs cross each other. It is an easy asana, so one can maintain it for a long time.
