Piyush Goyal
Piyush Goyal is an Indian politician, who served for Bharatiya Janata Party for more than 27 years. He is now serving as the Minister of State for Power in the Government run by Bharatiya Janata Party led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in 16th Lok Sabha.

Piyush Goyal, Indian PoliticianPiyush Goyal, a well known investment banker in Indian market, is now the Union Minister of State for Power in National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government, under the Prime Ministership of Narendra Modi in 16th Lok Sabha.

Piyush Goyal is an Indian politician and the National Treasurer of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He is the active member of the Managing Committee of Indian Merchants Chamber also.

Piyush Goyal began his formal education from the commerce stream. He is the second rank holder Chartered Accountant and also the second rank holder in Law in Mumbai University. Hailed from Western part of India, he has participated in Leadership Programmes at Yale University, Oxford University, and Princeton University in three consecutive years 2011, 2012 and 2013. He is currently pursuing the Owner / President Management (OPM) Program at Harvard Business School.

Piyush Goyal also heads the Information Communication Campaign Committee of Bharatiya Janata Party that oversees all outreach efforts of the party, with the communicative media like internet, mobile and social-media communication technologies.

Piyush Goyal is the son of Ved Prakash Goyal who had served as a Union Minister for shipping in the Cabinet of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the Former Prime Minister of India. His father Ved Prakash Goyal was also the treasurer of Bhartiya Janta Party for a long time.

Piyush Goyal is also a well-known investment banker. He has advised top corporate personalities about the management strategy and growth. With that Piyush Goyal also did his servitude with State Bank of India and Bank of Baroda, the nationalised banks in India.

Piyush Goyal comes from the family of politicians. He entered in the national political senario from his early childhood. He has served diligently in different positions of Bharatiya Janata Party. He was the National Executive of Bharatiya Janata Party also. He was also nominated by the Government of India to the Task Force for Interlinking of Rivers. He was the Deputy Campaign In-charge for the Parliament elections in the year 1991, where he played a key role at the central level in all elections since 2004. After the enormous victory in Indian General Election 2014, conducted by Election Commission of India, he became the Minister of State for Power in Narendra Modi`s Council of Ministers.

Piyush Goyal is a member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Finance and the Consultative Committee for the Ministry of Defence. As an active member of the Managing Committee of Indian Merchants Chamber, he did several jobs for the restructuring the India`s investment policies in global market. He is also involved with the activisms of different Non Governmental Organisations in diverse fields. Some of his well known contribution is the tribal education and welfare of the physically challenged people in Jaipur.
