Manpreet Singh, Indian BoxerManpreet Singh is a young and talented boxer who was born in the year 1985 on 3rd May. He is an amateur boxer from India and has trained from the Army Sports Institute. He competes under the category of 82-91 kg. In the recent years he has tasted tremendous success in boxing and one of them being his massive win against the Chinese boxer in the 2010 Asian Games. Unfortunately he lost the final bout competition against Mohammad Ghossoun of Syria and lost the gold medal by a score of 8:1. As a result he had to be satisfied with the silver medal only.

The defeat in the final match in 2010 Commonwealth Games had a tremendously adverse effect in Manpreet Singh. He lost all the confidence to fight and as a result had to seek the help of psychiatric at NIS Patiala in order to get over the depression.
