Kavita Kaushik is one of the popular small screen actresses. She was born on 15 February 1981 in New Delhi. Her father was a police officer. After her college she began modeling, hosting events and anchoring shows. She went for a screen test for the Balaji Telefilms serial `Kutumb` and was instantly selected for the soap.

Kavita Kaushik"s voyage in acting started when she first came to audition for the TV serial "Kutumb" in 2001 and later on moved to Mumbai. After her winning performance in this show, she was spotted in another serial "Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii" where she portrayed the role of Manya Doshi. Kavita has also done the well-liked daily "Kumkum" in which she was seen playing the character of Naina, who was the wife of Rahul Wadhwa. The actress had been seen in diverse roles- "Tapori" lawyer in the well-liked TV series "Remix".
Kavita was also seen in the famous Indian TV Serial "C.I.D" playing the role of Sub Inspector Anushka. The tall and dazzling actress got her big break through SAB TV"s comic crime show "F.I.R". Kavita Kaushik in F.I.R portrays the role of a Haryanvi police inspector, Chandramukhi Chautala. Audiences have loved her character in this serial since the start in 2006 and she has been doing well in tickling the humorous bones of each and every person who watches the show. Her dominant nature and firm yet funny presence in this show has helped her seize a lot of attention.
At present she is listed amongst the top ladies of Indian Television.
