Jitender Kumar comes from the Indian State of Haryana, from Bhiwani District. He received his initial training at the Sports Authority of India in Bhiwani under the coach Jagdish Singh.
Career of Jitender Kumar
Jitender Kumar represented India for two consecutive Summer Olympics beginning with the category of middle-weight in the 2000 Olympic Games. At the 1998 Commonwealth Games finals Kumar lost to John Pearce. He also lost to Oscar Williamson in the semi-finals in 2002 Commonwealth Games. He fought in the category of heavy weights in the national circuit.
