Jagat Prakash Nadda is an Indian politician and the Member of Parliament, an also as a minister of Health and Family Welfare under the Cabinet Ministry of Narendra Modi`s Government.

Early Life of Jagat Prakash Nadda
Jagat Prakash Nadda was born on 2 December 1960 in a Brahmin family to Dr. Narain Lall Nadda and Shrimati Krishna Nadda. He got his formal education at St. Xavier`s School in Patna. Thereafter he did his Bachelor in Arts from Patna College of Patna University and LL.B. from Himachal University of Shimla. As a child, Jagat Prakash Nadda represented Bihar State in All India Junior Swimming Championship held at Delhi.

Political Career of Jagat Prakash Nadda
The first tryst of Jagat Prakash Nadda with politics was seen during a popular People`s Movement known as the Bihar movement. He joined Student Politics and became the active member of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad. Later, he won the electoral polls to become Secretary of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) of Patna University in the year 1977. He stayed associated with ABVP for 13 years from the year 1977-1990. Some of the many positions he served being associated with Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) are Joint Secretary, A.B.V.P., Himachal Pradesh State Unit, 1980-82. Later Political Career of Jagat Prakash Nadda
Jagat Prakash Nadda was detained for 45 days for leading a campaign for up-grading schools in the year 1987. Jagat Prakash Nadda organized Rashtriya Sangarsh Morcha against corruption in the year 1987, as a response to the major scandals designed by the then ruling party Indian National Congress. Jagat Prakash Nadda became Election In-Charge, youth wing of Bharatiya Janata Party during the Lok Sabha Elections in the year 1989 and May 1990. At the young age of 31, Jagat Prakash Nadda became National President of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha in 1991. From the year 1998 to 2003, Jagat Prakash Nadda served as the Minister of Health and Family Welfare and Parliamentary Affairs in Himachal Pradesh Government. On 9th November 2014, he was sworn-in as Cabinet Minister in Narendra Modi government.

Personal Life of Jagat Prakash Nadda
On 11 December 1991, Jagat Prakash Nadda married Dr. Mallika Nadda who serves as a Professor in History. The couple is blessed with the two sons. The mother-in-law of Jagat Prakash Nadda is a former Lok Sabha Member of Parliament, Jayshree Banerjee.
