Shivani Kataria
Shivani Kataria was born on September 27 in the year 1997. She is hailing from Haryana. She is an Indian swimmer. She competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in the women`s 200 meters freestyle event. Her time of 2:09.30 in the heats did not qualify her for the semifinals. She holds most of the Indian national records. She has also represented India at South Asian Aquatic Games held in Colombo 2016. She was India`s first female Olympic swimmer since the 2004 Summer Olympics. The Swimming Federation of India (SFI) selected Shivani Kataria as India"s wild card entry for the Rio Olympics after no Indian swimmer was able to qualify through the qualifiers.

She swam the English Channel in the solo swim category on 15th August 1994 in a time span of 16 hours and 7 minutes making her the youngest successful swimmer (12 years old) to cross the English Channel for the year 1994.

Arati Saha was a long distance swimmer of British era. She was the first swimmer of India. She was born in Kolkata, West Bengal, when British Government in India ruled. Arati Saha was initiated in swimming at the early age of four, and her talent was spotted by Sachin Nag.
