Export Promotion Council For HandicraftsExport Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) was established under the Exim Policy of Government of India in the year 1986-87. It is a non-profit organization. It is the apex organization of trade and industry and is under the administration of Ministry of Textile of Government of India. The organization was established with the aim to support Indian arts and crafts and to project India as a land of exquisite arts and crafts in the world market. It also takes up various measures keeping in view the international standards and specification.

The Council has created necessary infrastructure to provide marketing and information facilities which are available for member exporters and importers. The Council is run and managed by a group of professionals, which is under the stewardship of an Executive Director. The Committee of Administration consists of eminent exporters and professionals and the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts is considered as a model council, which is self-sustaining where all promotional activities are self financed.
