Dharmendra Pradhan, Indian PoliticianDharmendra Pradhan is a noted Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader who presently holds the position of the Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas (Independent Charge) in the Government of the 15th Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in the 16th Lok Sabha. Being a representative of Bharatiya Janata Party, in March 2012 he was elected to the Rajya Sabha from the state of Bihar. He has also been the member of RSS. He is the representative of the Deogarh constituency of the Indian state Odisha. He has also been the member of 14th Lok Sabha. He has served his political party as the General Secretary. In August 2011 he also took up the charge of supervising the party activities in Jharkhand. He has also contributed in several social issues like unemployment, rehabilitation and resettlement of farmers and others.

Early Life of Dharmendra Pradhan
Dharmendra Pradhan was born on 26 June 1969 in Talcher situated in the Angul district in the state of Odisha. He is the son of former BJP MP Dr. Debendra Pradhan and Smt. Basant Manjari Pradhan. He has completed his post graduation from the Utkal University.

Political Career of Dharmendra Pradhan
Dharmendra Pradhan has been the National President of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha since the year 2004 to 2006. He has been the Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) from 2004 to 2009 as a representative of Deogarh constituency of Odisha. He has worked as the National Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Party from 2007 to 2010 and in the same tenure he was also in charge of the party unit in Chhattisgarh. He is the in charge of BJP Bihar since the year 2013. From 2010 to present he is in charge of Bharatiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM) and co-in-charge of BJP Bihar state elections. From 2010 he is serving as the All India General Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Party. He held the position of the in charge of BJP Karnataka from 2011 to 2013. He is the member of Rajya Sabha for the tenure of 2012 to 2018.

Personal Life of Dharmendra Pradhan
Dharmendra Pradhan is married to Mridula Pradhan since 9th December 1998 and the couple is blessed with a son and a daughter. Dharmendra Pradhan loves interacting with different sections of the Indian society, especially the youth. He is known for motivating them for social work and social reconstruction.
