Business StandardBusiness Standard is a financial daily published by the Business Standard Ltd. (BSL). It is published from twelve centers in India, Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Pune, Lucknow, Bhubaneshwar and Kochi.

The Business Standard was started in 1975 by Ananda Bazar group, in Calcutta. In the year 1996, a Mumbai based financial investor bought the company and it started functioning as a separate company. After its new start, Business Standard underwent a phase of rapid expansion and launched new editions. In 2004, The Financial Times of London took an equity stake in Business Standard Ltd.

Business Standard Ltd. also publishes several periodicals like, BS Motoring, Indian Management, The Asian Management Review and Routes: The Gateway Magazine (a lifestyle magazine). Business Standard recently started its Sunday edition from three publishing centers. The paper is known for its exciting editorial page and offers magazines on motoring and aviation every month.
