A bubblegram is a three dimensional image which is composed of points and remains suspended in a medium, usually a plastic block. Laser bubblegrams is in vogue. Crossing lasers in `appropriately-doped` plastic, which may cause a chemical reaction through heat or `photonic` inflammation, makes these images. It thus results in the creation of an air bubble or of plastic with a dissimilar `index of refraction`.

Some special types of submerged laser `etching` machines create bubblegrams. They use a single `conically-focused` laser and thus forms 0.1 mm fractures within a glass blockage. Use of this craft piece is unique. There are organizations, which would customize people`s photographs, change them to a `height map`, and deliver them as a bubblegram. They use them as souvenirs for their companies.

Once developed as a typical art form of India bubblegram art has now crossed the barriers of countries and location and is now a well-accepted art technique for making souvenirs. In the lanes and by lanes of the urban cities like Mumbai and kolkata this bubblegram art form has carved a niche for itself whilst standing apart as an emblem of the rich cultural heritage of India.
