Babita is a former Indian actress who is more popular as the mother of actresses Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor.

Babita Kapoor, Bollywood ActressBabita was born with the name Bhambhani on April 20, 1948 to actor Hari Shivdasani, which is a Sindhi family. He conducted a screen test for her with expert producer G.P. Sippy. However, he liked her screen test and gave her the prospect to star in his film. Babita had a short film career and appeared in 19 films.

The films casting Babita include Raaz (1966), Dus Lakh (1966), Aulad (1968), Farz (1967), Kab Kyon Aur Kahan (1970), Haseena Maan Jayegi (1969) and many more. She had also starred with Randhir Kapoor in the popular film Kal Aaj Aur Kal.

She married Randhir Kapoor on November 6, 1971. After marriage, Babita left the film industry. Babita and Randhir Kapoor had two children - Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor. After the birth of their daughters, their relationship was under much tension and finally after a few years they separated. She reunited with her husband in 2007.
