Early Life of Kareena Kapoor
Born on September 21, 1980, Kareena Kapoor is the younger sister of Karishma Kapoor, a popular Bollywood actress. Her nickname is "Bebo". She is the granddaughter of actor and filmmaker Raj Kapoor, great-granddaughter of actor Prithviraj Kapoor, and niece of actor Rishi Kapoor. She did her schooling from Jamnabai Narsee School in Mumbai and later in Welham`s Girls Boarding School in Dehradun. She studied Information Technology and Microcomputers from Harvard. She later enrolled in Kishore Namit Acting School.
Career of Kareena Kapoor
Kareena made her debut with the movie "Refugee" in 2000 directed by J.P. Dutta opposite Abhishek Bacchan. Her first success in the box office came with the movie, `Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hain` released in the year 2001 opposite Tusshar Kapoor. In the same year she had three more releases, Yaadein, Asoka and Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gaam. The film critics appreciated her for her performance in the latter for her role of a cosmetic beauty. She played the role of a snobbish rich girl who was always concerned about her looks and beauty. The movie became a blockbuster success and her acting career accelerated.
