Early Life of Ashvarya Shrivastava
Ashvarya Shrivastava was born on 19th February in the year 1992 in Pune, Maharashtra. She is a professional tennis player from India. She formerly played for the India Fed Cup team. Ashvarya Shrivastava is hailing from Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh where she attended the National Open School of India. She is the daughter of Dr. Sanjay and Dr. Urvashi Shrivastava and is majoring in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management at NM State.

Career of Ashvarya Shrivastava
Ashvarya Shrivastava highlighted her career in high singles ranking in No. 653, which she achieved in October in the year 2011. The coach of her early Ashvarya Shrivastava is Kedar Shah, and she currently trains at Deccan Gymkhana, Pune, Maharashtra.

Ashvarya Shrivastava played the first match of her career at the 2007 Sunfeast Open Tennis Tournament in her hometown, Pune, where she received a wildcard, where she lost to British born Sarah Borwell in the first qualifying round. This is her only WTA match played yet. In doubles, Ashvarya Shrivastava partnered fellow Indian Kyra Shroff but also lost in the first round to Italian Alberta Brianti and Ukrainian Mariya Koryttseva.

On the 20th of August 2011, Ashvarya Shrivastava won her first title, by winning the doubles of an ITF event in Istanbul, Turkey, partnering German Christina Shakovets. They defeated the British pair Tara Moore and Lisa Whybourn in straight sets 6-3, 6-1 to pick up their title.

Ashvarya Shrivastava for Aggies Tennis Team
Ashvarya Shrivastava had a huge year for the Aggies tennis team after not playing her freshman season at NM State. She went 15-5 in single matches with two wins against nationally ranked teams. Ashvarya Shrivastava played against No. 50 UNLV and went on to win the match 7-6, 6-0. Later in the season, Ashvarya Shrivastava defeated No. 21 Rice 7-6 (7-3), 6-4 on March 1. Ashvarya Shrivastava also posted two wins against school rivals, playing at UTEP with a 6-4, 1-6, 6-4 win and a home win against New Mexico, 7-6, 6-4.

Ashvarya Shrivastava in Doubles
Ashvarya Shrivastava had a great season playing in doubles as well, ending the season with a 12-7 record. She paired up with Annemieke Witte for all 12 wins playing 14 games at the number 3 position on the team. The duo saw two matches against nationally ranked UNLV (58) and Rice (21) and saw a victory against UNLV, 6-3. The doubles team won their last game against Seattle U on Apr. 28 8-3 at the No. 2 position. Ashvarya Shrivastava earned the Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Academic Award for the first time. She was also named to the Academic All-WAC list for the 2014 season.
