Yanam Beach, Puducherry Yanam Beach, nestled in the Indian union territory of Puducherry is one of the most beautiful beaches of southern India. The beach presents an exquisite blend of a rich history and natural splendour. For several years, Yanam beach was a part of French colony and was later transferred to India. Thus, the place still preserves many relics of the French culture that is prevailed during ancient times. Yanam Beach prominently shows the impact of the 300 years of French culture.
