World Kabaddi League is an Indian sports tournmanet which is an imitation of Indian Premier League for cricket and Indian super League for football.

It is the first of its kind in the world as well. Sukhbir Singh Badal is the President of World Kabaddi League (WKL) and Pargat Singh is the commissioner of World Kabaddi League (WKL).

Format of World Kabaddi League
There will be eight international teams that will play in 14 cities throughout 4 different countries. World Kabaddi League will feature 144 international players with over 15 crore in players` salaries.

Season of World Kabaddi League
The regular season of World Kabaddi League will be four months long then an elimination tournament will take place in Mohali, Punjab for the top four teams to determine a champion. This is the first season of World Kabaddi League, 2014.

Method of playing in World Kabaddi League
There are two teams of seven players facing each other in a circle and take turns sending a "raider": into the other team. To win a point, the raider must take a breath, run into the opposing half, tag one member of the opposite team, then return to his home. The raider will have 30 seconds only for touching the opponents and come back to his home. The game is played with 20-minute halves and a five-minute half-time break during which the teams exchange sides

There are eight teams of World Kabaddi League. These are Khalsa Warriors owned by Akshay Kumar, Yo Yo Tigers owned by Honey Singh, Vancouver Lions owned by Gurjit Singh Purewal, Punjab Thunder owned by Thind Properties and Rajat Bedi, United Singhs owned by Sonakshi Sinha and remaining two are from Pakistan and Canada.

GNDU Hockey Stadium in Amritsar in Punjab, Bhatinda Hockey Stadium in Bhatinda District of Punjab, Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Delhi, the National Capital Region of India, Burlton Park Hockey Stadium in Jalandhar District of Punjab, Hockey Ground, Punjab Agricultural University of Ludhiana District of Punjab, International Hockey Stadium at Mohali in Punjab are the stadiums in India, which host normally the World Kabaddi League.
