West Bengal Table Tennis Association is an organization which works for the promotion of table tennis and table tennis players in the state. It was founded in the year 2005.

West Bengal Table Tennis AssociationWest Bengal Table Tennis Association or WBTTA is an organization which works for the promotion of table tennis and table tennis players in the state. Established in the year 2005, WBTTA promotes Table Tennis in various revenue districts of the state through its seventeen affiliated districts. It has organized International and National Tournaments like World Junior Circuit in 2006, four times National ranking Table Tennis Championships (East Zone) and Bengal Premier League for two Consecutive Years. Currently, it is regarded as one of the pioneer Affiliated Associations of Table Tennis Federation of India. The present president of the organization is Hon"ble Sri Somnath Chatterjee, the former Speaker of the Lok Sabha.

Objective of West Bengal Table Tennis Association
It was founded with the objective of creating awareness about the game through different Schools, Colleges and Clubs in various districts of West Bengal. It was also founded with the aim of nurturing the upcoming and talented players to help them perform both nationally and internationally.

The association regularly organizes workshops and coaching camps to boost the players mentally and physically. Some of the works of West Bengal Table Tennis Association are as follows-


•Organizes coaching camps in different districts for the purpose of creating awareness about the game.
•Organizes centralized coaching camps for the advanced players.
•Conducts long term camps in certain districts.
•Organizes various categories of tournaments for different age categories on regular basis.
•Supports the deserving districts in terms of providing coaches, equipments and even financial assistance.
•Organizes counseling of the players for their psychological and mental development.
•Conducts workshops and training for the Coaches and the technical officials on a regular basis.

The association runs a website from where interested players, guardians and the table tennis lovers can accumulate information about the latest developments.
