Bengal cricket players are renowned around the nation for their skill and talent as West Bengal is one of the states where Cricket is very popular among the people. This credit may go to Saurav Ganguly, the most successful captain of team India, who is also from Bengal.

The Bengal Cricket team has won the Ranji Trophy twice in 1938-39 and 1989-90.
