The waterfalls of Meghalaya cascade down a great height into the steep mountains and are major tourist attractions. Discussed elaborately below are some of the popular waterfalls of Meghalaya:
Bishop Falls: The 22nd highest waterfall in India, the three tiered Bishop Falls is located in Shillong. Cascading from a height of 135 m, the Bishop Falls is often referred to be similar to the Beadon Falls since both of these falls tumble down the same escarpment into a cavernous gorge.

It is one of the highest waterfall plunges in the country and is located near Cherrapunji, one of the wettest places on Earth. The waterfall is surrounded by lush greenery and is fed by rainwater. The plunge pool formed at the foothills of the Nohkalikai Falls is somewhat green in colour.
