Wardhannapet is one of 18 villages in Wardhannapet Block along with villages like Kothapalle and Ramavaram. On the basis of constitution of India and Panchyati Raaj Act, Wardhannapet village is administrated by Sarpanch or Head of Village who is elected as representative of village. The official language of this village is Telugu.

Geography of Wardhannapet
The village is situated about 25 km from the Warangal city. This town has been developed on the bank of the Akeru River. It is a small river which was once the main water resource for agriculture and drinking water for the people. Wardhannapet village has civil hospital, high school, Jr. College and police station. In order to promote the ancient Indian fine art forms like drama, music, folk forms of arts and literature, Eaga Sreehari founder and General Secretary together established the Bharatiya Nataka Kala Samithi in 1974.

As per population census of 2011, the village had a population of 13715 of which 6876 were males while 6839 were females. The village population of children with age 0-6 was 1498 which makes up 10.92 % of total population of village. According to 2011, the literacy rate of Wardhannapet village was 63.54 % compared to 67.02 % of Andhra Pradesh. The male literacy was 72.67 % while female literacy rate was 54.35 %.

Places to Visit near Wardhannapet
People can visit Inavolu which is 16 km from Warangal. It is known for an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Mallikarjuna Swamy, called Inavolu Mallanna. This historical temple was constructed by Kakatiyas.

Punnel is another village in the mandal and located 2 kilometres away from the Khammam-Warangal main road. It is 15 km away from the district headquarters. Kakkiralapally is also an important place. It is famous for rocks. Most of the people of this place depend only on agricultural and these rocks.
