Vishnuprayag is one of the five confluences of Alaknanda River. It lies at the confluence of Alaknanda River and Dhauliganga River.

Vishnuprayag, UttarakhandVishnuprayag lies on the Joshimath-Badrinath route, in Chamoli district in Uttarakhand. This place also has a mythology behind it. It is a place where Sage Narada had meditated after which Lord Vishnu appeared before him. Another attraction nearby is the Kagbhusandi Lake.

It is located at 30.34degreeN 79.34degreeE. It has an elevation of 1,372 metres. There is an octagonal shaped temple that is located near the confluence. It can be dated back to 1889. It is credited to Maharani of Indore - Ahalyabai. It was built to install an image of Lord Shiva and now it houses the image of Lord Vishnu.
