Geography of Telangana
Telangana is located on the Deccan Plateau towards the central stretch of eastern seaboard of Indian Peninsula. The region is split into two major rivers with about 79 percent of the Godavari River and 69 per cent of the Krishna River but mostly the land is arid. The state is drained by several other minor rivers like the Musi, Bhima, Manjira and Manera.

It contains various types of soils such as the red loamy sands, salt affected soils, alluvial soils, and shallow to medium black soils. These types of soil allows plantation of various fruits and vegetable crops like mangoes, coconut, paddy etc.

Climate of Telangana
Telangana happens to be a semi-arid area that experiences predominantly dry and hot climate. The summer season marks its presence from March, reaches to its peak in May with an average high temperature of about 42 degree Celsius range. The monsoon marks its presence in June and stays till September with near about 755 mm of precipitation. During the month of November, a dry and mild winter arrives to stay till February with little bit of humidity and an average temperature of about 22 to 23 degree Celsius.

Economy of Telengana
Telengana is driven mainly by agriculture as far as the economy is concerned. The farmers depend on the rain fed sources of water for irrigation. The major food crop is rice. Other significant crops are cotton, mango, sugarcane etc. There are also multi state projects for irrigation development such as the Nagarjuna Sagar Dam and the Godavari Basin Irrigation Projects.

Culture of Telengana
The culture of Telangana is an amalgamation of cultural custom from the Persian traditions embedded during the Mughal rule, Qutub Shahis and Nizams with the predominant traditions of South India. The state has a rich taste for painting, classical music and folk arts like shadow puppetry, burra katha, gusadi dance and Kolatam to name a few.

Transport of Telangana

The major public transport corporation is Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) that connects all the villages and cities.
