The Bark leaf (Bhurja Patra) and Palm leaf manuscripts are protected in the Oriental Research Institute. This museum also provides shelter to an elaborate manuscript of Shrimad Bhagavata, which is known to have been painted with original gold and silver. The museum has a collection of paintings, which are ancient. They are known to be painted in Mughal and Rajput style. The museum also has a reference library, which houses important oriental publications. A noteworthy display of this museum is an ancient skull of an elephant. It is considered to be a centre of tourist attraction.
