Venur, Jain centre in KarnatakaVenur is one of the sacred Jain centres of Karnataka. The Venur town is situated at approximately 50 km north east of Mangalore city. There are eight bastis and the ruins of the Mahadeva temple in the town Venur. There is a huge Bahubali statue in the Venur, which was built in 1604. This statue is of 11 meter high and is situated on the southern bank of the Gurupur River.
