Veeramala hills are one of the major tourist destinations in the South Indian state of Kerala. This small mountain is located at Cheruvathur in Kasargod district of Kerala state of India. It is situated in the south of Nileswaram at a distance of ten kilometres.
Attractions of Veeramala Hills
A major attraction here is the remnants of a Dutch fort built in the 18th century at the hilltop. Nature has been extremely benevolent in this region where the environs are conducive for attracting tourists. The Veeramala hills are a perfect picnic spot from where one can view the natural beauty of meandering Kariangode River and the surrounding places.
Connectivity of Veeramala Hills
The NH 17 passes a few kilometres east of Veeramala hills. Cheruvathur Railway Station on the Nileswaram - Payyanur line is the nearest railway station.
