It is located between the Zumbrai Beach in the north and Fatrade Beach in the south. It is actually a part of the stretch of sand that runs from Valsao Beach to Mobor Beach. Varca Beach is one of the biggest continuous shorelines in Goa.

Varca beach is surrounded with palm trees and other vegetation. Visitors can enjoy water sports activities like water-skiing, windsurfing, jet skiing, parasailing, boating, diving, banana boating, fishing etc. Some other tourist spots of the beach include some local churches, which exhibit the designs of pediment, towers and domes etc. Visitors can also visit the village of Varca to have a glance of the colonial India. Some nearby attractions to this region are plantations of spices in North Goa, Mollem National Park in the east and Cabo de Rama Fort in the south.

Best time to visit Varca Beach is from November to March. Dabolim airport is at the distance of 32 kilometers from Varca beach, which is the nearest airfield. Visitors can board train from Margao Railway Station, which is at the distance of 14 kilometers from Varca beach. Buses are also available from Colva (6 kilometres), which is the nearest bus-stand to reach the beach.
