Varada Chaturthi VrataThe Varada Chaturthi Vrata is one of the vratas of Lord Ganesha. The ritual commences on Sravana Suddha Chaturthi day which is the fourth day of the bright fortnight of the Sravana month. The vrata continues to the fourth day of the bright fortnight of the next month which is known as the Bhadrapada Suddha Chaturthi day. During this period, all the pujas are offered to Lord Ganesha and the Lord is worshipped by the devotees.

It is also required to offer food to a Brahmana (Brahmin) with the choicest dishes. After the culmination of the Varada Chaturthi Vrata a figure of gold, silver, copper or stone is gifted to the Brahmana along with other gifts. If a terracotta or clay statue of Lord Ganesha is installed during worship, then the figure should be consigned in the river or a stream.
