Vyricherla Kishore Chandra Suryanarayana Deo was elected to the Lok Sabha for five times. He also served one term in the Rajya Sabha. He was the Union Cabinet Minister for Tribal Affairs and Panchayati Raj.

Early Life of V. Kishore Chandra Deo
V. Kishore Chandra Suryanarayana Deo was born on15 February in the year 1947 to Kurupam to Raja V. Durgaprasad Deo of Kurupam and Rajmata Sobhalata Devi. He is from the Konda Dora scheduled tribe community. He was educated in Madras; he holds Masters Degree in Political Science and a Bachelor degree in Economics from Madras Christian College, Chennai.

Career of V. Kishore Chandra Deo
V. Kishore Chandra Suryanarayana Deo was a member of the Lok Sabha representing the Araku constituency in Andhra Pradesh. He has been a member of the Congress Working Committee (CWC). He was first elected to parliament in 1977 and has been elected to the Lok Sabha thereafter five times. He also held one term in the Rajya Sabha. On 12 July 2011 he was sworn in as a Cabinet Minister in the Union Cabinet. He also served as a Minister of State for Steel, Mines and Coal in the Central Cabinet in 1979-80. He served on numerous parliamentary committees, and he served as the chairperson of several keys on parliamentary committees, including the Joint Parliamentary Committee on the Scheduled Tribes and Other Traditional Forest Dwellers (Recognition of Forest Rights) Bill that led to the Forest Rights Act. He was also the Chairperson of the Parliamentary Committee on Public Undertakings. From July 2011, he served as the Union Cabinet Minister for Tribal Affairs and Panchayati Raj under the government of United Progressive Alliance (UPA) headed by Dr. Manmohan Singh.
