She won the I Am She - Miss Universe India title in the year 2012, but was dethroned due to a controversy over her age. She made her Bollywood debut in 2013 in Anil Sharma`s action-romance film "Singh Saab the Great". In 2015, she was crowned Miss Diva - 2015 and represented India at the Miss Universe 2015 pageant.

Early Life and Education of Urvashi Rautela
Urvashi Rautela was born on February 25, 1994 in Kotdwar, a small town in the Pauri Garhwal district of the Indian state of Uttarakhand. She had planned a career in engineering and appeared for the IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) exams. As a national level Basketball champion, she was actively involved in various kinds of sports since her childhood. While in school, she began participating in beauty shows and pageants at the age of 17. She eventually won the Miss Tourism Queen of the Year crown, held in China, in 2011 and also the Miss Asian Super Model 2011 title in South Korea. She went on to win the Miss Universe India 2012 title.

Film Career of Urvashi Rautela
Urvashi Rautela made her film debut starring opposite Sunny Deol in the 2013 Anil Sharma-directed action drama "Singh Saab The Great". She received multiple film award nominations for her role in the film. In 2014, she appeared in Yo Yo Honey Singh`s international music video album "LoveDose", which released in October 2014 in Hindi and Punjabi. In 2015, she made her debut in Kannada cinema with A. P. Arjun"s action film "Mr. Airavata", alongside Darshan and Prakash Raj. The same year, she made a special appearance in the song “Daddy Mummy” in Bollywood film "Bhaag Johnny". Urvashi was last seen in the 2016 Divya Khosla Kumar-directed Hindi romantic drama "Sanam Re", alongside Pulkit Samrat, Yami Gautam and Rishi Kapoor. In June 2015 she had signed up for the lead actress in the third instalment of "Masti" film series, "Great Grand Masti". Originally scheduled for a July 22 release, the date was brought forward to July 15, 2016, after a pirated copy of the film was reportedly leaked online. Urvashi will be seen as Ragini in the film.

Urvashi Rautela runs a foundation along with her family called the Urvashi Rautela Foundation, to help empower the needs and rights of underprivileged people in India. She also actively supports PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) India and "Save the Girl Child Camp".
