It is located in the Karnataka state of India. The waterfall is exactly situated near Siddapur in Uttara Kannada District of Karnataka.

Unchali Falls is formed by a 116 meter drop in Aghanashini River in the thickets of the Sahyadri hills. Unchali Falls in Karnataka is also known as Keppa Falls owing to its thundering sound. The waterfall is enveloped by natural vegetation from all sides which essays an important role in preserving its beauty. The sight of the waterfall is exquisite and is a delight for the eyes.

The neighbouring area around the Unchali Falls in Karnataka is predominantly forest. The dense jungle and vibrant waterfall makes this place a perfect haven for the animal world. Adventure sports are also practiced in the adjoining areas. Tourists can also enjoy trekking in the woods located 5 kilometres away from Heggarne village. Connectivity of Unchali Falls
The nearest airport is at Hubli and the closest railhead is at Kumta. In order to travel by road, one has to take a turn towards Heggarani at Aminalli on Kumta - Sirsi state highway. The Karnataka Road Transport Corporation goes till Heggarani, a village in the Uttara district of Kannada. Then from Heggarani, one has to walk five kilometres, through the dense forests, to reach Unchalli falls. Tourists can also hire jeep services. Unchali Falls can be visited throughout the year. However, the ideal time to enjoy the beauty of the falls is during the monsoon season, between the months of July and October.
