Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association or U.P Cricket Association as it is also known as is the administrative body of the Cricket activities in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is affiliated to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The parent body of the association; i.e. the BCCI is responsible for conducting various games from lower levels to international levels.
The UP Cricket Association is responsible for supporting, developing and promoting cricket at various league tournaments, Tournaments for the age group Under-13, Under-15, Under-17, and Under-19, Under-22 and Under-25 categories besides organising and conducting National Tournaments.
U.P Women`s Cricket
Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association Women wing was affiliated in 2006-07. There are 16 Districts with the women wing.
For the purpose of promoting women cricket at the district levels, various tournaments and championships regularly take place at various cities in Uttar Pradesh. Every year in the month of May, a Women Challenger Trophy is organized by the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association to promote and improve the condition of women`s cricket in the state. For the purpose of the match the player wear coloured jersey.
U-19 Women team champion in the Junior Nationals 2009-2010 at Kalyani, West Bengal and 2010-2011 at Pune. Uttar Pradesh Senior Women Team defeated the Indian Railways in the Central Zone Championship at Delhi 2011. The association has four Level-A Coaches and One Level-B Coach.
Ekta Bisht, Parul Chowdhary , Chtira Singh Raghav , Neetu Singh and Nishu Chowdhary participated Central Zone team in Inter-Zonal Matches.
Nishu Chowdhary , Nishtha Pharasi, Deepali Sharma, Poonam Yadav And Shivani Verma Selected for ZCA in 2010 at Jaipur . This year Nishu Chowdhary , Deepali Sharma, Poonam Yadav , Komal Hora , Shivangi Raj Singh, Shubhi Pandey, Neetu Singh, Shuchi Kaushik and Gayatri Agarwal selected for ZCA camp at Indore 2011.
Ekta Bisht and Nishu Chowdhary selected for Challenger Trophy Cricket for BCCI 2010-11 at Vizag.
Ekta Bisht selected for Indian Women Team to tour England 2011, in the last One day Match India vs. New Zealand she declared women of the match.
Ekta Bisht & Poonam Yadav selected for India camp at National Cricket Academy (NCA) Bengaluru from 7th August to 10th September 2011.
Ekta Bisht, Shweta Jadhav, Poonam Yadav & Shivangi Raj Singh Selected for Challenger Trophy Cricket for BCCI to be held at Baroda from 1-4 Oct. 2011-12
