TV18 Broadcast Limited is a private joint venture operation in India between Network18 mass media company held by Reliance Industries and American multinational media conglomerate NBC Universal. TV18 owns and operates various television channels of NBCUniversal for the Indian viewers, such as CNBC-TV18, CNBC Awaaz and CNBC-TV18 Prime HD. TV18 also ventured into Indian factual entertainment domain jointly venturing with American media company A&E Networks and operating channels History TV18 and FYI TV18. In the regional space, the group operates a Gujarati business news channel CNBC Bajar, a Marathi general news channel IBN Lokmat and operates 10 regional news channels under the ETV umbrella. The group also operates a 24-hour English news channel News18, targeting global audiences in the US, Canada, UK, Singapore and the Middle East. The Hindi version News18 India airs all across India and regional channels under the same brand broadcast in Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Assam and North East.
CNBC-TV18, Indian Television Channel
CNBC-TV18 is a business news television channel in English, owned and handled by TV18. It broadcasts in both SD and HD versions, the respective slogans reading "Profit from it" and "The future of business news". It broadcasts business news all across Asia. Its sister channel CNBC-TV18 Prime HD was launched in October 2011 as the premium service of CNBC-TV18, making the news channel the first business channel in India to have a HD version.
