Turpubani Vidhi Natakam is a traditional dance form common in Vizianagaram district (of Andhra Pradesh), India. The dancers sing while dancing and the form appears essentially a music oriented Bhagavata tradition.

Turpubani Vidhi Natakam is a folk dance form practiced in the Andhra Pradesh state of India. It is quite popular in the villages near Vizianagaram district. It is performed by both men and women.

Turpubani Vidhi Natakam is generally performed by the artists, who belong to the family of goldsmith though some of the artistes have turned to agriculture. The performers till the land and also practise this art form.

Close to the folk form they present Bhama Kalapam with variation. The hastas they use are not clearly articulated or defined, nor the nritta. The dancers sing while dancing and the form appears essentially a music oriented Bhagavata tradition.

Some of the popular artists of the group like Kurchela Brahmananda Bhagavatra have carried on with this tradition by training his daughters Anjali, Ratnam and Lakshmi. The entire family performs together. The male dancers wear sacred thread and call themselves Bhagavataras. They hail from Athava village and the father daughter due have won appreciation and rewards for their performances.

They have in their repertoire Bhama Kalapam and Golla Kalapam. They also have Kalyanam, Sitarama, Bhimagarvabhangam, and Lord Krishna in the role of Garudi, the magician and other puranic roles.

Turpubani Vidhi Natakam is performed during Navaratri, Ramanavami and other festivals. During the presentation, the musicians, mridanga players and the singers stand behind the dancers.
