Other places like Patna , Daltonganj lie 235 kms and 198 kms respectively. One can also go to Calcutta through Asansol-Govindapur-Barhi. Calcutta is situated 434 kms away from the place. The Hazaribagh National Park stretched upto 19 kms from the town of Hazaribagh. One can also avail bus services on regular basis. These buses ply to places like Koderma, Hazaribagh Road railway station, Patna, Gaya, Ranchi, Dhanbad, Dalotongunj etc. To meet the demands of the local populace the transportation of Hazaribagh is supplemented with the services of small vehicles. For example from the town one can obtain auto rickshaws, taxis without meters, cycle rickshaws, cabs to go to the park.
