Trakthogk Monastery is situated near Sakti Village in Leh district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Trakthogk Monastery is one of the Buddhist monasteries in India. The monastery belongs to the most erstwhile order of Buddhism, the Nying-ma-pa. It is assumed that the Tantric Buddha, Padmasambhava, meditated here on his way to Tibet.

Location of Trakthogk Monastery
It is located near Sakti Village in Leh district of Jammu and Kashmir. It is positioned exactly above the Sakti Village near a cave.

Attractions of Trakthogk Monastery
Trakthogk Monastery is famous for its wall paintings and images of Padmasabhavana and Avalokitshewra. However, the wall paintings are now covered with black soot, hardly distinguishable. The dukhang on the other hand is a recent addition.
