It is an artificial lake built near the Surajkund village between the villages of Baharpur and Lakkarpur in Faridabad District of Haryana. The kund is built in the shape of the rising sun with an amphitheatre shaped embankment constructed in semicircular form. Built on the backdrop of the Aravalli hills, the lake gets filled up during the monsoons and during the dry spell it gets water from the north western side by a local nallah.
