Pilgrimage Tourism in East Singhbhum District

TELCO Bhuwaneswari Temple: This temple is located at a height of 500 feet approximately. People visit this place to worship Goddess Bhuwaneswari.

Harina Shiva Temple: This place is approximately 29 kms from Potka Block Headquarter. There is a famous Lord Shiva Linga which is worshipped on the last day of the month of Jyestha. On this occasion a fair is held which lasts for three days.
Rankini Temple: This place is situated in Bansila Gram Panchayat of Potka block. Tourists visiting Ghatshila definitely visit this temple which is located within dense forests. This temple is also known as Kapadgadhi Ghat.

Chitreswar Shiva Mandir: Chitreswar Temple is located in the village Chitreswar. Here, a big fair is held on the day of Shiva Chaturdasi.

Leisure Tourism in East Singhbhum District

Panch Pandava: 3 miles northwest of Ghatshila, at a place called Panch Pandav, a stone can be seen bearing the figures of five men; the legend is that they are figures of the Pandavas of Mahabharata.

Tourism in East Singhbhum District Jubilee Park: A circular lake known as the Bagkudar Lake in the vicinity of the court buildings at Jamshedpur is a beauty spot. The grounds of the park cover approximately an area of 500 acres with the landscape of Dalma Hills to the north and the view of the Steel Works to the south. In about two years a vast stretch of unpromising terrain was converted into one of the best parks in India. The park has been designed around a central axis and there is a little island in the centre of the Jubilee Lake. Further, there is a boat-house and a cafeteria. There are three water showers in the park, which has a glittering look on the day of lighting. People come from different places to have a glimpse of the special beautification of this park.

TATA Zoological Park: Just besides the Jubilee Park there is the Zoological Park, which has been established by TATA group. The park has a beautiful lake, which has the provision for boating. The migratory birds fly in during the winter.

Dimna Lake: TATA Steel has constructed Dimna Lake in the Mirzadih Panchayat of Patamda Block. This lake is near to the Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary and is quite attractive having the facility for boating. Tourists visit this lake especially during November to February.

Budha-Bidhi Hill: This is small dense forest is the right to be enjoyed by peace loving persons.

Gotashila Mountain: On this mountain there is an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. This mountain has a natural waterfall.

In addition to the above mentioned historical places at Ghatshila, one can pay a visit to Phuldungri Mountain, Galudih Resort Centre,Burudih Dam on Burudih Lake. The important tourist places of Dhalbhumgarh block include Rajwada Temple, Dasha Bhuja Temple, Triveneswar Temple and Shiva Hanuman Temple. The places of interest at Musabani are Shri Sidheswar Temple and Zaher Sthan (the holy place where Adivasi people of the region offer prayers). The tourist places in Dumaria block are Lakhaidih, Bhimkand Jaher (This place depicts the unique culture of Adivasi people) and Sunudor (This is a beautiful waterfall in the block of Dumaria). Binda Mela is another major attraction of East Singhbhum District. This Mela is held in the month of Ashwin (October) for fifteen days.
