Khibul Lamjao National Park is situated 53 km from Imphal, on the fringes of Loktak Lake. The only floating park in the World, on the Loktak Lake is the last natural habitat of `Sangai` - the dancing deer of Manipur. A glimpse of the deer in this unique wetland ecosystem is a must for any wildlife enthusiast. This park is well renowned for its endangered species of Deer. Hog Deer, Otter and a host of water fowls and migratory birds can also be seen during November to March. The Forest Department maintains watch towers and two rest houses within the park.

Loktak Lake and Sendra Island: Loktak Lake is largest fresh water lake in the North-Eastern region of the country. It is located at 48 km from Imphal. Loktak Lake is a huge and beautiful stretch of water. It is spread up to 312 sq km area and looks like a miniature island sea. From Sendra Island, visitors get a bird`s eye view of life on the Lake including small islands that are actually floating weeds. Boating and other water sports are also introduced here.

Phubala is a popular tourist attraction located at 40 km south of Imphal. The marshy islands of Loktak actually float. Living along the reedy marshes and swamps bordering the lake is Manipur`s endangered Brow Antlered Deer or Tkamin. They live in small herds.

Moirang located at 45 kms from Imphal, the town is one of the main centres of early Meitei folk culture with several ancient temples. Every year a ritual dance festival "Lai Haraoba" is held here in the month of May, when men and women, dressed in colourful traditional costumes sing and dance in honour of their deities. This town also has a special place in the history of the Indian Freedom Struggle. It was at Moirang that the flag of the Indian National Army was first unfurled on 14th of April, 1944. The INA Museum at Moirang is one of the major attractions of this town.

Loukoipat Ecological Park is another popular attraction of Bishnupur District. These places of tourist interest offered by Bishnupur District are worth visiting.
