Tomb of Khan-i- Khanari has been a sign of honour which was constructed by the mughal dynasty. The tomb is located just outside the tomb of Nizzamuddin Auliya which is constructed on the same layout of Humayun`s Tomb, employing a compact version of `cube` type tomb which was the biggest contribution of Muslim regimes in India. This tomb is decorated with gardens, water channels and pools, reflecting the same impact of Humayun`s Tomb. The layout of Khan-I- Khanan was an experiment made by the builder of Mughal Period which helped them to construct Taj Mahal after few years. The mausoleum which is made up of stones is topped with a marble tomb though some of the stones have been removed which leaves the tomb in much dilapidated condition. As the marbles played a very important role as a part of decoration during the Mughal period this reflected the major attraction of that age.

Thus, the tomb of Khan-i- Khanari is the biggest sign of honour for the great poet who transalated the versions which include Baber`s memories in Babernama. Abdul Rahim Khan-I-Khanan has popularly known as a born devotee of Hindu god Lord Krishna who wrote a number of Dohas which reflect the secular character of Akbar`s durbar. As such on his demise the tomb of Khan-i- Khanari was constructed in order to honour this great poet.
