One other important museum at Chennai in the state of Tamil Nadu is the Theosophical Society Museum. As the name suggests, it is a religious type of museum.
The objects that are in store of the museum are ceremonial locks, presents of Dr. Annie Besant, press cards, badges, spatulas for foundation of buildings, greetings from Russian friends, different types of plaques presented to various Presidents by Theosophical Society, portraits of Founders and Presidents, medals, gifts, presents, miniature paintings, small sculptures, paintings of Roreich, Tibetan thankas, metal plates with Indian gods, wooden furniture, Bodhisatva on elephant in bronze and photographs.
People who are interested to visit the museum have to take special permission because it is opened only on request.
