Thalfavang Kut is one such important festival which is celebrated before harvesting activity begins.

In Thalfavang Kut festival all the tribal groups of Mizoram participate in all celebrations with equal enthusiasm. Various cultural events are organized during this festival. The vibrant clothes add to the festive spirit. The festival includes a number of dances and local songs which are sung by the farmers while they dance. Accompanied with sumptuous feast people get engrossed in the celebration.
