Temples of PunjabThe state of Punjab is located in the northern part of India. This state is beautified by historical palaces, ancient forts, architectural monuments, lakes, etc. These spots along with places like Patiala, Chandigarh, religious and historic city of Sri Anandpur Sahib, etc have made Punjab one of the famous tourist destinations of India. Golden Temple
Golden Temple or Sri Harmandir Sahib is located in Amritsar. It is considered to be a major pilgrimage centre for Sikhs from all over the world. This temple is a fine representation of Hindu and Islamic styles of architecture.

Mukteshwar Mahadev Temple
Mukteshwar Mahadev Temple is situated in Pathankot district. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva is represented in the temple in the form of a white marble Shiva Linga with a copper Yoni. Figures of Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu, goddess Paravati, Lord Hanuman and Lord Ganesha surround the Shiva Linga.

Sri Durgiana Temple
Sri Durgiana Temple is located in Amritsar. It is dedicated to goddess Durga. This temple dates back to the 16th-century. The exquisite silver doors of this temple have given it the name Silver Temple.

Kali Devi Temple
Kali Devi Temple is located in Patiala. This temple is dedicated to goddess Kali, an incarnation of goddess Durga. It was constructed in the year 1936 by Maharaja Bhupinder Singh of the Patiala. The black idol of goddess Kali is six-foot tall and is located inside a gold plated sanctum in standing position.

Sodal Mandir
Sodal Mandir is situated in city of Jalandhar. This temple is devoted to the child incarnation of Baba Sodal. The festival of Anant Chaturdashi is celebrated on the Poornima of September in this temple.

Shiva Mandir
Shiva Mandir is located in Gur Mandi near Masjid Imam Nasar in the city of Jalandhar. This temple is known to be built by the Nawab of Sultanpur Lodhi. The noteworthy aspect of this temple is its architecture. More specifically, the gate of the temple will be evident to the visitors in the style of a mosque. The rest of the temple is a representation of Hindu style of architecture.

Panch Mandir
Panch Mandir is located in Kapurthala. It was constructed during the reign of Sardar Fateh Singh. Panch Mandir is a temple complex comprising of five small temples. These five temples are dedicated to different gods and goddesses. The noteworthy aspect of this temple is its architecture.
