Shri Mahalakshmi Temple: Mahalakshmi temple of Kolhapur is one of the Shakti Peethas, listed in numerous Puranas of Hinduism. It is said that Lord Vishnu resides in the incarnation of Mahalakshmi at Kolhapur.
Jyotiba Temple: Built in 1730, Jyotiba temple is dedicated to the three chief creators in Hindu religion. Jyotiba temple is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas. This is also known as Kedarnath and Wadi Ratnagiri. The interiors are ancient, the idol is fourhanded. According to mythology, Jyotiba helped Mahalakshmi in her fight with the demons.
Khidrapur Temple: Built in 11th -12th century, Khidrapur temple is dedicated to one of the several manifestations of Lord Shiva. As one enters this temple, one first sees Vishnu and the Shivaling facing north.
Bhavani Mandap: Bhavani Mandap is a temple of Goddess Tulija Bhavani who, according to mythology is the guest sister in her elder sister Mahalakshmi`s city Kolhapur. Tryambuli Devi: Tryambuli Devi temple houses the self-created idol of Tryambuli Devi in black stone. The idol has four hands and is positioned with its back turned to the Mahalakshmi Mandir. Presently, Tryambuli Devi temple has broken ancient architecture spread all over its perimeter.
Binkhambi Ganesh Mandir: Binkhambi Ganesh Mandir which is dedicated to Lord Ganesha is the most unique temple architecture in Kolhapur. Its sanctum is built without the use of any pillar and the exterior is designed with stone carved tortoise along with many other carved structures.
