Temples of ChhattisgarhThe state of Chhattisgarh is located in central India. Gandheswar Temple
Gandheswar Temple is located in the town of Sirpur. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It serves as a home to historical and archaeological artifacts, beautiful paintings and ancient sculptures. This temple was constructed using the remains of ancient temples and viharas.

Pithampur Shiv Mandir
Pithampur Shiv Mandir is situated on the banks of Hasdeo River in Janjgir-Champa district. Devotees visit this temple to worship Lord Shiva, who is represented in the form of Shiva Linga. Mahashivratri is the festival celebrated in this temple. To celebrate the festival not only is the temple decorated, but colorful religious fairs are also organized in and around the Pithampur Shiva Mandir. The noteworthy aspect of the temple is its architecture.

Shivani Temple
Shivani Temple is located in the city of Kanker. This temple is dedicated to Shivani Maa. Navaratri is the festival celebrated in this temple.

Mahamaya Temple
Mahamaya Temple is located to the east of the town of Ambikapur. This temple is devoted to Goddess Durga. It was constructed in 1050 AD by King Ratansen of the Kalchurian Dynasty. This temple is managed by Sidh Shakti Peeth Shri Mahamaya Devi Mandir Trust.

Vishnu Mandir
Vishnu Mandir adorns the district of Janjgir- Champa. This temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Various religious legends and myths are associated with this temple. It was constructed in 12th century by the rulers of the Hayhay Dynasty. Vishnu Mandir holds a prominent position in the rich historical ancestry and religious heritage of Chhattisgarh.

Bhoramdeo Temple Complex
Bhoramdeo Temple Complex is located in the district of Kabirdham and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Four temples are located inside the Bhoramdeo Temple Complex. They are Bhoramdeo temple, Istaliq temple, Cherki Mahal and Madwa Mahal. It is known to be erected between the 7th and 12th centuries A.D. by King Ramchandra of the Nag Dynasty.

Other Temples of Chhattisgarh
Some of the other temples of Chhattisgarh are Bambleshwari Temple, Chandi Temples, Laxman Temple, Shivarinarayan Laxminarayan Temple and Shankar Temple.
