The place was established by Tashi Namgyal, who was a king of Sikkim. It is located at a distance of 4 kms from Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim. This point is known for officering varied views of different mountains. Tourists visiting this place can experience the imposing view of the beautiful Kanchenjunga Peak.

Attractions of Tashi View Point
Scenic view and serene environment are the main attractions of Tashi View Point. The Point is adorned with a park at its top. It is a beautiful park that is visited by myriad nearby as well as distant tourists. It is used as a picnic spot and a place to rest and relax. Dawn is the best time to visit the Tashi View Point in Sikkim.

The tourists can also enjoy the sight of the Phodong Monastery and the Labrang Monastery on the opposite hill. The clear morning sky creates a beautiful backdrop to the Kanchenjunga Peak. One can have a closer view of the peak through a binocular and telescope mounted here by paying a minimum amount. One can also have a mesmerizing view of the Gangtok valley and its surroundings from Tashi View Point.

The forests in the opposite mountains look close from this point. If one is lucky one might spot some wild animals through the binocular. The other neighbouring hills can also be seen from here. Mt. Sinilochu is one of the mountains located nearby.
