Tamil Nadu Cricket Association governs the Cricket activities in the Tamil Nadu state. It was established for promoting and developing cricket in Tamil Nadu.

Tamil Nadu Cricket AssociationTamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) is one of the members of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and it is the governing body of the Cricket activities in the state of Tamil Nadu. The TNCA is also in charge of the Tamil Nadu cricket team and it is responsible for all kinds of cricket related activities in the state of Tamil Nadu. The association also bears the responsibilities for organising and conducting various types of cricket matches, including the international and also the nursery levels in the state, on behalf of BCCI.

The Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) was established in the year of 1933, with an objective to promote and develop the game of Cricket by conducting various League Tournaments, in the state. It has been operating its activities for achieving that objective and it currently organises a number of tournaments in Tamil Nadu. It organises tournaments for the age group Under-13, Under-15, Under-17, and Under-19, Under-22 and Under-25 categories and also conducts National Tournaments. The Association is in charge of conducting the SPIC-TNCA League Championship for the City affiliated Clubs and there are a huge number of 726 league matches played every year from First division to Fifth division.

History of Tamil Nadu Cricket Association
Organized league cricket in the State began in Madras in 1932.The Indian Cricket Federation and Madras Cricket Association together formed Madras cricket association. The Madras Cricket Association was formally constituted on April 30, 1935. Thereafter it was affiliated to the Board of Control for Cricket in India. The Cricket Association was to control representative Cricket in the Province.
