The area has some of the most important endangered species including the clouded leopards.

Near Talley Valley Wildlife Sanctuary, there is a camp known as Talle camp, which is about 30 kilometres from Ziro. Ziro is denoted as a headquarters of Lower Subansiri district. The gateway to the Talley Valley Wildlife Sanctuary is the Pange Camp, which is 7 km from Manpolyang.
