In spite of the variations of arthritis, there are some common symptoms that help to diagnose this disease. There are inflammatory as well as non inflammatory symptoms of arthritis. One of the most common signs and symptoms is persistent joint pain. Other general symptoms can be warmth and redness in colour as well as stiffness and swelling in the joints including fatigue, fever, rash on the lower body, appearance of nodules and flu-like symptoms. This is a symptom of inflammation in the joints of the foot, knee, neck, hip, back, shoulders, hands and thumbs, or fingers. People experiencing lose range of motion or flexibility can be the symptom of arthritis.

Inflammatory Symptoms of Arthritis
The inflammatory symptoms of arthritis include involvement of multiple, symmetrical joints. Warmth, inflammation, stiffness and lack of mobility in the joints are felt with the involvement of the feet, wrists and fingers. There is a possibility of an additional pain in the knees, elbows, neck, spine, hip, back, shoulders, hands and thumbs. It has also been observed that the pain occurs in both sides of the body simultaneously and equally. In addition to that, possible swelling of the salivary glands or the tear glands, even fatigue is also experienced sometimes accompanied by fever. The patient suffering from arthritis may feel loss of appetite and subsequent weight loss. Sometimes, nodules are detected under the skin, especially in bony areas.

Non Inflammatory Symptoms of Arthritis
Some symptoms of arthritis are non inflammatory which include severe joint aches in the foot, knee, neck, hip, back, shoulders, hands and thumbs, or fingers. Stiffness and pain in one or more part of the body especially in joints are felt and gradually the pain increases. The patient suffering from any type of arthritis will certainly experience crackling sensation and immobility in joints while moving and the pain becomes severe with the humidity of weather. As arthritis is not only the disease of the elderly people, it can also affect children and youngsters according to the medical study. In children symptoms like intermittent fever, loss of appetite, weight loss, and anemia, or blotchy rash on the arms and legs may be observed as symptoms of arthritis. Symptoms of arthritis if diagnosed can lead to proper treatment of this disease. Though there are several ways to get rid of arthritis through modern treatments, people seek both of the medical and natural therapies which treat arthritis by detoxifying the body and joints and restore the cartilage to its original state.
