Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) Test is defined as an obligatory written examination. This mandatory management entrance test is conducted for taking admissions into the various postgraduate programmes at any of the Symbiosis Institutes. These renowned institutes are either affiliated under SIEC Deemed University or are approved by the AICTE. Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) Test is organized under the guidance of SIEC Deemed University. SNAP test is also considered as the very first step for entering the highly professional post graduate management programmes. The candidates who are interested in pursuing the career-oriented management programmes at the postgraduate level need to appear for the SNAP test.

Application Forms
Candidates who are interested in appearing for the SNAP Test can get the application form and prospectus from the institute he/she wishes to take admissions in. Students can also opt for online registration. Any candidate is eligible to apply in more than one Symbiosis institute. The candidate can obtain the application form and prospectus either by making cash payment or by making a nationalized bank draft drawn in favour of the `Symbiosis Test Secretariat` payable at Pune. They need to send the completed application form before the last date. For online registration the candidates need to upload a latest scanned photograph of their own. Students will get all the details regarding the test schedule and selection process from the prospectus.

Eligibility Criteria for Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) Test
A graduate degree is the minimum eligibility criterion for appearing into the Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) Test. A minimum of 50% marks at the graduation level is mandatory.

Pattern of Examination
The written test paper of SNAP comprises objective types of questions with multiple choice answers. It is of 120 minutes duration. The objective written test will have a total of 150 questions. The SNAP Test has four sections. In three of the sections each of the questions carries 1 mark and in the last section, each of the questions carries 2 marks. There is the system of negative marking. The four different sections of SNAP Test are as follows -

• General English: Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning, Verbal Ability (40 questions)

• Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency (40 questions)

• General Awareness: General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Business Scenario (30 questions)

• Analytical & Logical Reasoning (35 questions)

Syllabus
The students need to prepare according to the test pattern that is followed in the the Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) Test as there is no pre-defined syllabus for this entrance test. The English section determines the command over English language of the candidate. General awareness section measures the general knowledge and updates about the latest happenings. The Reasoning portion tests the analytical skills of the candidate. So, the candidate has to prepare accordingly.

Selection Process
The candidates must remember that each of Symbiosis institute has its own selection process and criteria. The candidates are short listed on the basis of their performances in the written test that is the aggregate of marks obtained in all the sections. The students are then called for group discussion and personal interview. The performance of the candidates in all these rounds determines the final selection of the candidates.
